this image was inspired both by Day of the Dead imagery & the Greek tradition of putting coins on the eyes of the dead. This is the outside lid of an assemblage, which I painted.

The idea behind shamanic transformation is that one must die entirely to an old way of thinking/being before one can embody a new paradigm
